The Brief

Wray Bros is one of the most successful businesses to ever benefit from The Prince’s Trust. They come from humble beginnings as a company who started out selling rags.

With the rise of disposable wipes and tissue the company changed direction and got into the janitorial supplies business. Now over 35 years later the company is thriving and one of the leading suppliers in the country.

Wray Bros wanted a new website, but with a company that has over twenty five thousand products it wasn’t going to be plain sailing.

After having a look at the job ahead our development team had a strategy in place which would require a mighty effort to execute.

As always we relished the opportunity to show our website development skills and ensure the project was seen through successfully.

The Process

Wray Bros were originally using a fully bespoke website as a way to operate their ecom store. They wanted to make the switch over to Shopify plus due to its added features and compatibility.

As mentioned the company sells over twenty five thousand products, all of which needed to be migrated over to their new home on Shopify. 

As well as having an extensive catalogue of products, Wray Bros have bespoke pricing plans for their thousands of customers.

Meaning each product needs to be integrated appropriately with their pricing system.

To cope with this huge data transfer we needed to design our very own software which would make the migration possible. 

After working tirelessly (and a few sleepless nights) our development team made this possible and we managed to make the migration a success.

Wray Bros also wanted to make their sales process more streamlined so we designed a system which allowed users to add a logo during the checkout process. Allowing their customers to save time when purchasing.


The Outcome

Wray Bros now have a new beautifully designed website which is home to their eclectic range of products. 

Their customers now receive a fully interactive experience when they visit their website and we even have their mascot, Willy Wiper, greeting people who visit.

This was a challenging but very rewarding project that allowed our development team to express their skills and showcase their capabilities.
