Rare Fashion & Art Social Media

Find out how our social media strategy increased Rare Fashion & Art’s website clicks by 386%.

The Brief

Having worked with Rare Studio previously, the aim was to strengthen Rare Fashion & Art’s standalone social media presence by creating a clearer identity for the school while increasing awareness, engagement, and interest among prospective students and young creatives. The client wanted the channels to do more than simply promote courses.

The goal was to showcase what studying Fashion & Art at Rare actually looks like, celebrate student creativity and progression, and establish the accounts as a source of engaging fashion and art content in their own right. Ultimately, the strategy supported student recruitment by building top-of-funnel awareness while encouraging more people to explore Rare Fashion & Art online.

Our social media team knew exactly what was needed to achieve this and got straight to work.

The Process

We developed a content strategy focused on three areas: student success, fashion content, and authentic insights into life at Rare Fashion & Art. Instead of relying on recruitment messages, we created engaging content, including fashion history, iconic designers, student spotlights, behind-the-scenes glimpses of the Summer School, and design process showcases. Students and their work were central, demonstrating creativity through real outcomes and illustrating the student experience.

We visited the site monthly to film in-person content, interview staff and students, and highlight the school’s expertise and welcoming atmosphere to attract new enrollments.

On Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, we produced diverse content including student showcases, Summer School coverage, graduate stories, fashion education, and interactive posts. The Summer School content was comprehensive, covering inspiration, techniques, concept development, and garment creation.

Our approach paid off, and we saw fantastic results.

The Results

The strategy drove strong growth on Instagram, with impressions reaching 67,521, up 129% from the previous period and 1,844% year-on-year, while reach increased 41% to 6,628. Website clicks rose 386% to 141, and grew 70% year-on-year. Instagram followers grew 6% to 2,529, a 41% rise year-on-year. Engagement rate reached 1,073, an 85% increase.

On Facebook, with 296 followers, impressions rose 60% to 1,413; engagement shot up 343% to 31; and engagement rate increased 177% to 2.19%. TikTok views climbed 10.4% to 6.5K, with profile views up 128.7% to 398. Content remained centred on Rare’s students, Fashion Summer School, and educational fashion topics.

It’s safe to say we achieved what we set out to achieve, and the team did a great job positioning Rare Fashion and Art as a brilliant option for potential students.
