Super Bowl Sunday kicked off last weekend, which meant that people all over the world were ordering delicious food, enjoying a couple of beers and settling in for 4 hours of uninterrupted fun…
That is unless you were in the UK, where the game kicked off just before midnight. Our Super Bowl celebrations consisted more of keeping it down to not disturb the neighbours and preparing ourselves to do a full shift at work on four hours of sleep.
Arguably, the best part of any Superbowl celebration is the ad campaigns. The Super Bowl is the best example of the power of decent advertising because we don’t know about you, but we have no idea who won the 2000 Super Bowl, but we can definitely remember the Budweiser ‘Wassup’ advert.
At Blaze Media, we know the power of great advertising, which is why we all look forward to checking out the latest Super Bowl ads. Keep reading if you want to find out more about which ads we thought were the best this year.
Did The UK Tune in?
You may be surprised to hear that this year brought a record UK viewership, with over a million viewers tuning in to watch the event. You’ll be glad to know that at Blaze, we didn’t have a single person calling in sick on Monday, likely because none of us were invited to Super Bowl parties.
The fact that so many of us were willing to give up our precious 8 hours of sleep before work only highlights the international impact of the Super Bowl, so if you were lucky enough to claim any ad space during the event, you’re likely going to have an extremely profitable week.
The World’s Favourite Ads
A Blaze, we love a well-executed ad, and we’ve even made some ourselves, which is why we continue to be Liverpool’s paid social ad experts. Our glamorous copywriter has quizzed the whole office to deliver you our take on the best Super Bowl ads of 2025, and here they are;
Seal Mountain Dew Ad
This is an ad that the world is going to remember for a long time, mainly because the vision of Seal’s head morphed into a seal is going to be burned into our retinas forever.
Seal teamed up with Mountain Dew to deliver us with what we can only call the most disturbing advertisement of 2025. The advert saw Seal, as a seal, parodying his hit ‘Kiss from a Rose’ to promote Mountain Dew’s new drink flavour.

When we first watched the ad, we hated it, but we just couldn’t look away or stop talking about it, which is when we realised that this ad might be one of the best to be shown at the Super Bowl this year, because people are going to be talking about it for years to come.
For those who have not seen the advert, you can find it here, but we suggest that you prepare yourself before watching.
Meg Ryan’s Inappropriate Hellmanns Advert
We are sure that plenty of you have watched the rom-com classic When Harry Met Sally, but if you haven’t, you’re certainly aware of one of the more iconic moments from the movie, where Harry certainly questioned if he should have taken Sally to a fancy restaurant.
This advert caught us all completely off guard and had people worldwide covering their children’s eyes as fast as Drake did when Kendrick started his half-time performance.

If you have never seen the iconic scene before, we would strongly advise that you look it up because there is absolutely no consumer-friendly way to describe it.
Though mildly disturbing, this iconic call-back was a great way to depict the delicious taste of Hellmann’s mayo and much like the Seal ad, we imagine this ad is going to be talked about for some time.

Little Caesars Crazy Puffs
This year has been an absurd year for Super Bowl adverts. Amongst all of the crazy adverts, some in particular really stood out and the Little Caesars advert was one of them.
If you have ever watched American Pie or Schitt’s Creek, you may be familiar with Eugene or at least his iconic eyebrows. The ad saw the famous actor tucking into Little Ceasars’ Crazy Puffs, resulting in his eyebrows flying off his head and spreading across America.
This ad had a visual impact and has carried over to social media; the social media ads have continued to have a huge impact and prove to be incredibly beneficial for Little Caesars. The visual impact and comedic brilliance of this ad is what made it stand out to our team, with plenty of us rewatching the ad several times.

Lilo and Stitch Movie Ad
If you were a 90s child, then Lilo and Stitch likely has a special place in your heart.
The iconic 2000s movie taught a whole generation about the power of love and the importance of treating people with respect- shame some people worldwide seemed to have been watching it with the volume off.
Since its announcement in 2018, we have all been anxiously awaiting the release of the live-action Lilo and Stitch movie. Thanks to the Super Bowl Announcement, we now know that we can finally expect the film to arrive in May 2025.
This ad had the whole world buzzing with excitement. We saw the live-action Stitch in action as he effortlessly navigated the pitch and avoided football players.

This is one of the more wholesome ads of the night. It perfectly encapsulates the branding that Lilo and Stitch have embodied over the last 20 years and highlights the familial feeling that we all have when it comes to our favourite childhood movies.
These Super Bowl ads have amplified the importance of brilliant branding. Want to ensure that your brand identity is consistent and accurately reflects how you want to present your brand? Make sure that you work with experts like Blaze.

Dunkin Donuts Jeremy Strong Advert
If you follow Jeremy Strong’s career, you will have heard that he has become well known in Hollywood for his out there method acting. We understand that every actor has their own process, but when you become well known for how annoying your method acting is, it’s really time for some self reflection.
Well, that is exactly what Jeremy did in his latest Dunkin Donuts advert, where he really immersed himself in the role by covering himself head to toe in coffee granules.
This active acknowledgement of his reputation and ‘self-burn’ left every viewer in hysterics, with many people flooding to social media to commend his self awareness.

As we discussed in our TikTok Marketing Trends of 2025 blog, consumers are starting to prefer more realistic depictions of brands, especially when they don’t take themselves too seriously, which is why this ad has been such a roaring success.

Pringles ‘The Call of The Moustaches’
This has to be one of our favourite adverts from the Super Bowl this year and we think that it exemplifies everything that a Super Bowl ad should have. It was funny, it was visually appealing and it included a whole host of celebrities with brilliant moustaches. Honestly, watching this ad felt like a cinematic experience.
In a world that is currently so miserable, having an advert that we can just sit back and laugh at is always appreciated. Pringles always delivers and this ad felt very consistent with their brand identity.

Nike Female Athlete Commercial
Nike have absolutely smashed it out of the park with their Super Bowl advertisement this year. Unfortunately, all you ladies will be aware that the last year has not been great for women in the US, with their rights left under the control of a walking, talking satsuma.
We’re only a month into 2025 and women already feel terrified and underappreciated, so Nike’s advert was a welcome show of appreciation and confirmation of strength that a lot of women have so desperately needed the last few months.
In the ad, Nike showcased a range of powerful female athletes doing what they do best. The message was clear in this advert- women are strong and women do not need to bow down.

We know that a lot of women needed this ad, and we are so glad that Nike took a step away from their usual content to focus on a subject that has a lot of relevance at the moment.

The Impact of Super Bowl Advertising on The UK
If you’re reading this blog and you’re currently in the UK, you may be wondering, how does any of this have an effect on me?
Well, as massive advertising nerds, we think it is interesting to compare how the UK experienced these ads in comparison to the UK. Traditionally in the UK, the ads shown at the Super Bowl will be replaced with British advertisements., but a lot of platforms offered UK viewers the option to watch the Super Bowl with the original advertisements.
This change allowed British audiences to experience the full spectrum of advertisements that the Super Bowl had to offer. There is a lot of debate concerning whether or not there is value to the UK seeing US advertisements, especially in cases of more niche adverts such as car insurance, that we can’t access.
However, there are plenty of brands that had ads in the Super Bowl that we do have access to in the UK. If you’re a business that wants to surpass national notoriety, it is important to have an understanding of what other businesses are doing to advertise their products or services, as this allows you to compete.
This change is also incredibly beneficial to businesses with international reach, as in the past a lot of companies that operated in both the US and the UK were blocked from being seen in the UK, so now they can reach consumers that they have previously been cut off from.
