Searchlight Electrical is an established and recognised supplier of decorative lighting to the very best independent lighting stores and leading retail chains in the UK and a distributor to over 50 countries worldwide.
The Brief
Operating from a purpose-built head office in Manchester with a state of the art distribution centre and one of the largest product showrooms in Europe, Searchlight are uniquely placed to meet the diverse, ever changing needs of the lighting market and their trading partners around the world.
Searchlight Electrical tasked us with delivering over 300 product descriptions to accompany images in their 2020/21 additions catalogue.
The Process
A sample of the catalogue was sent to us which featured every product along with the basic specifications of each fitting including material, size and safety information.
Working through the items systematically, our content team produced bespoke descriptions for each product - elaborating on the information provided and also providing suggestions of how and where each light could be used.
Working on a tight timeframe, the descriptions were delivered on time and signed off without any amends being requested.
The Outcome
The client has over 300 individual descriptions for every product in their additions catalogue which helps to sell the product and also gives potential clients an idea of where the items could be used in their home or office.
The descriptions can also be provided to trade partners to use on their own eCommerce sites or catalogues which provides and additional benefit when purchasing from Searchlight Electrical.
Following the success of this project, we have now been engaged to provide more descriptions and also accompanying graphics for retail chains including Next and JD Williams.
