The Brief

Ansell Lighting is a leading UK-based manufacturer and supplier of professional LED lighting solutions. They were already a well-established brand, and the site had strong brand recognition but untapped SEO potential. Rankings were inconsistent, technical issues were holding back indexing and crawlability, and the content wasn’t being fully leveraged for search. Our goal was to change that, methodically, and with measurable results.

When Ansell approached our team, they wanted to improve organic visibility, drive more qualified traffic to key product and category pages, and ensure the site was technically sound enough to support long-term growth.

The Process

We began with a thorough audit using Semrush, Screaming Frog, and Google Search Console, uncovering issues like duplicate meta tags, broken headings, improper image alt tags, and sitemap problems affecting Google indexation.

Over several months, we addressed issues such as header tag corrections, redirect chains, duplicate metadata, sitemap migration, and URL duplicates from the headless CMS. 

The team optimised Ansell’s product and category pages by refining metadata, enhancing internal links, and creating keyword-focused content for new products. We also improved the blog and technical content to increase visibility. Our efforts included analysing seasonality using Google Trends, assessing competitors, implementing an LLMs.txt file to improve crawlability, auditing backlinks, and planning for future growth.

These steps helped us gain a deep understanding of the site and make significant adjustments with lasting effects. The results after just a short period of collaboration clearly demonstrate this progress. 

The Results

The results have been consistent and sustained across every major metric, not just in peak months but also during quieter periods. The site is now getting more organic traffic than ever before, month-on-month, when accounting for seasonality.

October 2025 marked the highest traffic the site had seen in nearly a year, with organic sessions up 15% month-on-month and product pages up 11% year-on-year. November maintained year-on-year growth for the seventh consecutive month.  January 2026 then delivered the strongest visibility numbers yet, with a 49% year-on-year increase in impressions.
