The Process
Expand into the USA
To do this we decided to restructure their site so that it would rank better in both the USA and UK. That meant creating separate websites for American and UK users.
Once we separated the site, we wrote and amended the current content to represent the terminology that was required for each country. That way the content in each country would be relevant to the users.
To prevent having to start with a brand new subdomain, we decided to use a location folder for the US site content. This allowed us to markup with the relevant HREFLANG to communicate effectively with search engines.
Increase Conversions
To increase conversions, we set up visual tracking to monitor current usage. This gave us the opportunity to visually monitor how users interacted with their website and where the customers’ pain points were.
Using A/B testing, we finely tuned the website to convert more efficiently with the users in both the US and the UK.
Become Known for Their Expertise
To show their expertise, we came up with a content plan that would showcase the company’s knowledge as well as answer frequently asked questions from their users.
Using Air Sea Containers’ expert knowledge, we created an information hub that had industry-leading insights for packaging guidance, industry news and regulations as well as answering many customer’s frequently asked questions.
