Hoot Tubs

Hoot Tubs is a hot tub hire company operating in and around the Greater Manchester area. They’re well renowned for their customer service and amazing party packages which come with prosecco or beer.

The Brief

Hoot Tubs came to us after making the decision that they wanted to reach out to new audiences away from their home town of Bury. They also wanted to increase their general enquiries and bookings through the use of paid social media ads, particularly Facebook and Instagram.

The Process

As they didn’t have a dedicated website at the time of launching the campaigns, we looked at different ways to generate enquiries which led us to “messaging campaigns”. This is where the potential customer clicks on the Facebook or Instagram advert and can send the business a message.

We divided up the campaigns into the specific locations that Hoot Tubs wanted to operate in which meant we could figure out which areas where profitable, which areas had room for growth and which wouldn’t be cost-effective.

The creative for the ads was all generated from customers enjoying the ‘Hoot Tub’ experience which boosts engagement and shows real people how much fun they could be having. This was teamed up with images provided by the client of the products and set ups that are available.

Working closely with their booking system, we would push weekend hires and when the books were closed, our messaging would change to pushing the following weekend so maintain momentum.

Brand Awareness

Looking at the first 3 months’ campaigns from Summer 2021 we reported that our ads brought in over 1450 enquiries. From those enquiries, their customer service team took over 230 bookings over 11 weekends – averaging 20 bookings per weekend.

These enquiries all came in under Hoot Tubs’ original target ‘cost per acquisition’ price which meant they were all highly profitable hires.

The Results

As well as growing their following through organic social media, the paid campaigns generated over 650 leads in less than 3 months. Through brand awareness the organic search for the Simple Bricks brand name increased by 300%.

On the Google Ads platform, after an initial high cost per lead, we used the data we collected to the cost per conversion below £20 with some of their target keywords reducing down to £5.49 and a conversion rate for leads of 20%.
